One example is Öresundskraft’s planned CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage) facility, showing what the future can hold. CCS is essential for Helsingborg’s climate goals. By capturing emissions from waste incineration, enabling fossil-free district heating, and creating jobs and opportunities for local suppliers.

Alongside other European port cities, we aim to develop smarter, cleaner transport chains that drive both growth and the phase-out of fossil fuels. One path we are exploring is relocating the port, offering the opportunity to design sustainable, zero-emission logistics from the ground up.
