Transporting Captured Carbon – Partner Selection in Progress.

We are currently in the process of selecting our transport partners for the Innozhero project. No final agreements have been made yet, but the procurement phase is well underway.

Transporting liquefied CO₂ from Filbornaverket to its final storage site under the North Sea is a critical part of the CCS value chain. That’s why we’re looking for partners who can offer more than just logistics, partners who share our high standards for safety, traceability, and sustainability.

Key considerations in our evaluation include minimizing climate impact throughout the entire transport route, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enabling reliable, long-term capacity. From local trucking to rail terminals, to shipping by sea, every step must uphold the integrity of the climate benefit we are creating.

We are also closely following developments in domestic CO₂ storage options. In the future, shorter transport routes within Sweden could further enhance both the sustainability and efficiency of our operations.

Our goal is clear: to build a transport chain that not only works today, but supports the long-term success of CCS, both environmentally and operationally.
